Dutch & Co worked in conjunction with a United States (US) based architectural design team to set the specification and positioning of all LED lights in the newly renovated space. This was done taking into consideration average lux levels, and the overall look and feel of the products to create a functional, compliant, energy efficient, and fluid lighting concept incorporating LED panels, LED down lights, suspended pendant fittings with LED T8 tubes, and LED emergency lighting.
Dutch & Co. was contacted to conduct a light audit in the public areas of the Labadi Beach facility in Accra. This was first performed to ascertain the feasibility and benefits of switching outdated conventional lighting systems to LED counterparts. The result was an overall energy savings of 80% with an improved visual aesthetic due to the high CRI (color rendering index) and soft unobtrusive visual comfort achieved by using LED’s.
Design and supply of LED lighting systems for 24 hour control room, selected offices, and a conference room. Dutch & Co. services were engaged initially, for a retrofit of the 24 hour operational control room. A light design was done to ascertain appropriate light levels. Based on the success during the first phase of the retrofit, a further commission was done for the supply of LED lighting systems for the conference room and selected offices. The installation has been commissioned for nearly 2 years without failure.
Dutch & Co. was engaged by The Royal Senchi Resort to design an energy efficient lighting system for the entire project: internal, public area, guest rooms, and external lighting. The Royal Senchi Resort has been hailed as a premier weekend getaway and optimum location for relaxation and luxury. The space is further beautified and enhanced by a unique combination of decorative and functional LED lighting systems making guests feel at ease, and reducing the operational costs for the resort.
Vlisco Netherlands B.V. engaged Dutch & Co. for the LED lighting scope for their clothing retails brands Vlisco, and Woodin Ghana. The two retail outlets were commissioned in early 2013, with over 100 LED retail lights installed. There has not been a single failure till date.
